A 2015 study in the World Journal of Gastroenterology looked at a decade of studies available via PubMed investigating the use of acupuncture in the treatment of various GI disorders.
It reports that, "Acupuncture is beneficial as an alternative therapy for the management of chemotherapy induced nausea, post-operative nausea and vomiting, peptic ulcer disease and post-operative ileus, as well as other functional disorders including irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, and diarrhea."
